About Us
For more than 155 years, what is now the Brodhead United Methodist Church has been serving the spiritual needs of men, women and children in south-central Wisconsin.  We take seriously our denomination's declared mission:  to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We trace our heritage to formation in the mid-1800s of two active congregations:  the Immanuel Evangelical Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church.  Both denominations were bounded on the teachings of Jesus, as carried onward by that great 18th Century theologian, John Wesley.  The merger of these denominations in 1968 formed the existing Brodhead United Methodist Church.

Our current building at 501 First Center Avenue is the focus of a full range of activities.  Our educational program includes a Sunday School classes for all age groups, from children to adults. In addition to Sunday School, other educational opportunities, which may vary from time to time.

Christian fellowship is fostered through organizations such as the Quilters, the BBC (Banner Builders for Christ), the Crafty Christians and 3-F's -- an adult organization dedicated to followship, fun and food that meets four times a year.

Our mission extends beyond our walls and into the world.  We participate in community projects such as the Brodhead Community Closet and are be a founding congregation of Green County Family Promise, a program to provide food and shelter to families in need.  Our church also supports a variety of national and international mission projects.  One of especial interest is the Cambodian Well Project, to provide pure water and sanitation to that Southeast Asian nation.
